Greetings to the Barony of Caerthe, from your friendly neighborhood Exchequer,

Battlemoor will be upon us within the month! In an effort to make gate planning easier, Kingdom has asked each barony to take charge of a gate shift period. Caerthe will be in charge of gate on Thursday, July 4th, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the entire period broken down into the following shifts:

8 a.m. – 11 a.m.

11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

You may sign up for positions at gate at the following SignUpGenius link. Please note, all gate shift periods are shown, not just Caerthe’s. Please make sure that if you intend to volunteer as staff for Caerthe’s period that you’ve scrolled down to Thursday!

The descriptions of each position are provided at the SignUpGenius website. As an important note, minors may sign up to participate as gate staff, however they must be accompanied by their parent or designated guardian. In addition, minors may not volunteer for the Payments position, that position is 18+ and registered SCA members only.

If you are considering volunteering for the Payments position, I ask that you please do so as soon as possible and email/message me if you decide to fill the slot.. This position will require you to go through Paypal training and be financially warranted for the event, and the deadline to have training complete is June 19th. Multiple Kingdom officers are available to perform this training, and takes approximately one hour. I promise, it’s not nearly as difficult as you think it might be!
