and then proceed to pick a prize, unless stated otherwise.
Tournament style A&S: Entry fee for the A&S tournament will be a prize for the prize table. The
prize donated can be something you have made, or ‘something you would like to receive’.
(Consider this, if it isn’t something you would find desirable or useful, chances are it won’t be
useful or desirable for others). The prize to be donated can also be your A&S entry.
A&S format, the competition will be arranged similar to a double elimination tournament.
Each round competitors will be randomly paired up. There will be ‘Marshals’ on hand to make
sure the rounds are kept on track and to assist the competitors determine who wins the round,
should the need arise. Each competitor will be given 2 minutes to describe and explain their
entry. After each competitor has explained their piece, there will be a 5 minute question and
answer period where the competitors can ask each other for further details about their pieces.
Documentation is not required; but it might help to sway your opponent during the
rounds.
At the end of the question and answer portion of the round, the competitors will be asked
to select a winner of that round. If neither opponent is willing to yield the round, both
combatants will be moved to the losers bracket. At the conclusion of the tournament, the winner
and 1st runner up will have 1st and 2nd choice from the prize table. The remaining competitors
will be given a randomly selected number for their choice from the prize table. If any competitor
does not wish to claim a prize, they may choose to donate their selection to the Barony as
largess.
