This is the time of year we begin to notice a change in the weather, the light changes and the color of our natural environment bursts with beauty, as many leaves change and fall creating carpets of burnt sienna, umber, red ochres and flaming golds. We are approaching the Autumn Equinox.
The Barony of Caerthe welcomes everyone to celebrate Haustblot – A Norse Fall Festival.
Our fighters, of armor and swift blade, will have many opportunities to best each other in battle. When the sun sets, they will raise a mug of drink to celebrate and regale us with stories of their victories.
A siren to the archers, the beasts that will feed the village for the winter. Even if they are just paper targets.
Equestrians will practice the cunning skills of mounted warriors.
For those good gentles not of sporting fare, there will be many classes to learn a new skill to get you through the long winter months.
This will be a camping event. Dust off that pavilion. Bring out your lovely camp décor.
A Norse feast, of many delights, is being planned.
Join us in wishing the summer goodbye!!
The Outlands Royal Archer tournament will be taking place on Saturday, Sept. 3rd, from 10 AM until 3 (or when concluded).
The Caerthe Archery Warden & Crossbow Warder tourneys will be taking place on Sunday, Sept. 4th starting at 10 AM.
All of the other Caerthe Champion tourneys will also be taking place at Haustblot, such as Warlord, Premier Blade, Equestrian, Blackthorn Bard, etc…
If you have questions, please reply to this post, or feel free to message Lady Maire, myself or THL Forrester if specifically about the archery tourneys.
There are a number of A&S classes taking place on Saturday and Sunday, but we most definitely invite folks to reach out to Lady Maire, if voluntarily interested in imparting your wondrous knowledge to the masses! Plenty of class time to be had, and the populace (and autocrat) will be very thankful!
Speaking of volunteers, we can definitely use some willing hands to help with some things that need doing over that weekend event, including, but not limited to…
